Invictus Gaming went 4–2 in the four-team Nirvana group, then swept ThunderTalk 3–0 in the August 28 Knights' Road play-in to reach the LPL 2026 Grand Finals. Below is every IG series of TheShy's comeback season — dates, scores and TheShy's champion picks — plus the September 5 playoff fixture against Top Esports.
How Split 3 works for IG
- Twelve teams are split by Split 2 standings into the eight-team Ascend group and the four-team Nirvana group: IG, LNG, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) and Weibo Gaming.
- Inside the Nirvana group, teams play a double round robin of best-of-threes — six matches each — under Hard Fearless Draft rules.
- The top two Nirvana teams advanced to the Knights' Road: single-elimination best-of-fives against the Ascend group's bottom two. On August 28, IG beat TT 3–0 and NIP beat EDG 3–0 — both Nirvana teams reached the Grand Finals.
- Split 3 ran July 22 to August 23 on a five-city tour (Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou, Xi'an). Matches used the LPL's usual 3:00/5:00/7:00 PM Beijing slots.
- The Grand Finals opened on August 29–30 (LGD 3–2 Top Esports, Team WE 3–1 JD Gaming). Round 2 follows on September 3–4 (BLG vs Team WE, Anyone's Legend vs LGD), then the Knights' Road winners meet the Round 1 losers on September 5: IG vs Top Esports and NIP vs JD Gaming.

IG finished the Nirvana group 4–2 in series and 9–6 in games — sweeping LNG twice and beating WBG twice, with both losses to undefeated group winner NIP. On August 28, IG swept ThunderTalk 3–0 in the Knights' Road, TheShy winning on Camille, Ambessa and Vayne, to qualify for the Grand Finals. Across the 2026 season so far, TheShy has played all 18 games: a 12–6 record, a 2.4 KDA and 671 damage per minute.
