How to Watch TheShy's LPL Matches: Streams, Times, and Time Zones

Where to watch IG play live, how LPL start times convert to your time zone, and how to never miss a TheShy series.

The hardest part of being an LPL fan outside China is not finding a stream — it is doing the time-zone math. This guide covers where to watch TheShy's matches, when they actually start, and how to keep up if you cannot watch live.

Where to watch

English broadcasts:

  • lolesports.com — the official Riot portal. It lists every LPL fixture, converts start times to your local time zone automatically, and links the live broadcast.
  • LPL English on Twitch and YouTube — the official English-language cast, free to watch.

Chinese broadcasts:

  • Bilibili — the official LPL live channel on Bilibili, and the highest-quality Chinese stream. No account is required to watch; logging in only unlocks chat, follows, and rewards.
  • Huya and Douyu — the other major Chinese platforms carrying the LPL.

You do not need a Riot account (or any account) just to watch the streams above.

When do LPL matches start?

Most LPL series in the 2026 Split 3 regular season begin around 09:00 UTC, which converts to:

| Time zone | Local start | | ------------------------------ | --------------- | | Beijing (UTC+8) | 17:00 (5:00 PM) | | Central Europe (UTC+2, summer) | 11:00 AM | | US East (UTC-4, summer) | 5:00 AM | | US West (UTC-7, summer) | 2:00 AM |

Two things to watch out for:

  1. The second series of the day is approximate. LPL match days often feature two best-of-three series back to back. If IG plays second, the real start time depends on how long the first series runs — check lolesports on match day rather than trusting a fixed hour.
  2. Daylight saving shifts. China does not observe DST, so the UTC start stays constant while your local conversion moves with your own clock changes.

Series are best-of-three in the current LPL format, so budget up to three hours for a full match.

If you cannot watch live

  • Our schedule page posts results shortly after each IG series ends and previews the next fixture with its start time.
  • lolesports.com hosts spoiler-controlled VODs for every series.
  • The LPL English YouTube channel uploads full VODs and condensed highlights, usually within hours.

A note on lineups

IG carries a substitute top laner on the roster, so TheShy's start is not guaranteed until the day's lineup is confirmed. We note lineup news on the schedule page when it is officially announced — match-day confirmations usually appear an hour or two before the series begins.

See you in chat — or on the VOD the next morning.
